Divine Pirating design software: Lessons learned (Read if you're a designer)

Quick heads-up to everyone else who's passionately designing day-by-day.
Due to Adobe's unreal pricing plans, yet their hegemonial stance, it was always clear to me that I'd had to get my hands on the software, no matter what, and I'm sure many of you feel that way.
I'm here to give a warning that pirating software, no matter how safe you deem the source, will end up backfiring most times.
Especially when you don't stick to the sole software, but keep on downloading plugins, extensions, etc. via "the free way".

I've recently had my wallets drained, lost around $500 which I forgot to transfer to my main-hardware-wallet.
Nothing huge, but it's a loss and I felt pretty humiliated by it.

End of the story is me getting a new pc (which I was going to get anyways) and from that very day, paying for all my software needs.
Take this piece of advice from someone who's been designing for years and alike most of you, thought the software was safe.

So what your saying is that you ended up downloading a stub / virus?

Ive pirated design software for years without issues. Ive only recently started paying for Adobe because I don't mind paying to receive the updates.
