Why do so many people even want tf2 keys? That's what I don't get. Like is there any practical value really as I thought TF2 was rather dead.

people get TF2 keys because its a way of adding funds to your steam account cheaper and they can also be used for those who like tf2 to get some tf2 skins which some people like collecting
