Talk to him, start the conversation off with:
I'm not happy with our relationship at the moment, but I'm not giving up on us...
Then proceed to tell to him how he can you happier in the relationship BUT do not make it all about yourself, at the end of your rant ask him if he is unhappy as well and if yes then you need to listen to him as he did for you and hear him out.

Regardless of how he would feel about it, it's not good to hold your emotions back to save your S/O feelings when you're drowning in silence.
Remember a relationship is suppose to be 2 sided.
