How does safe trade work

Hello, i am new to this i was thinking of buying an ig name just wanted to know how safe trade works

so say i buy a name around like $50, and use the safe trade i pay a fee but does the seller also have to pay a fee for the escrow service? then both sides send to safe trade?
just wanna make sure before buying

Either the buyer or seller needs to pay the escrow fee. The fee is not deducted from the sale price, but rather added on top, allowing the seller to receive the full amount.

In addition, if the trade is cancelled, everything is refunded including the escrow fee.
