2. Funding Your Wallet
- Copy your UniSat wallet address.
- Head over to an exchange like Binance and send some BTC to your UniSat wallet using the address you copied. Alternatively, you can exchange your assets for BTC in our Crypto Exchange section.
3. Buying a .sats Domain Name from Secondary Market
- Visit bestinslot.xyz and use the search bar to find the name you want to buy.
- Select a name from the list of related names, confirm its authenticity and availability in the secondary market, then proceed to buy. Make sure you have enough BTC in your wallet for this transaction.
4. Inscribing/Minting Your Own .sats Domain Name
- Go to unisat.io, click 'Connect', select UniSat wallet, and sign the connection in your wallet.
- Switch to 'Inscribe' and click on 'sats names'.
- Input your preferred name e.g. name.sats and click 'Next'.
- If the name is available, you should see another 'Next' button. Click it.
- Scroll down to 'Submit and Pay invoice'.
- Click 'Pay with Wallet'. This should cost about $3. Approve the transaction in your UniSat wallet.
- You should see a 'Complete' popup. That's all!
5. Checking Available Names via API
- You can check if a name is available by using the Sats API: https://api.sats.id/names/{name}. Replace '{name}' with the name you're interested in.
