Honestly, if you are looking to purchase a SoundCloud username be very sensible and always ask for the owner history of the said username. This is due to the fact that you can revert a username onto your account if you have previously owned it at any point of time with a single message to their support and they will gladly give it back to you. In addition to that, if for example there were ten previous owners of the handle you just purchased, every single one is able to revert the username onto their account as they have owned it previously. The previous owner is always with priority over the new one so keep that in mind as well.
We cannot see the future and for sure cannot know if the original owner / the person that sold / lost a username to an auto-claimer is going to revert it even five years from now. Same can be applied to swaps. Let's suppose some person decided to sell their username on FLIPD, they used a trusted middleman, used a swap service, then, a year later, the same person can simply submit a support ticket using the previous account that owned the username & revert it. Even if you purchase a username that comes onto an account with uncreated OGE, there is always a chance that the previous owner is going to revert it.
I would recommend only purchasing usernames from trustworthy sellers (such as @j, @scar, @n1, @yani, etc), or those that can provide proof of purchase, previous owners or any other additional information. What many fall for is that swapping a username from one account onto another will not prevent reverts so do not waste your money on swapping your handle(s).
