not hypesquad i think they host something more public like a discord comic con or sum, idk how hypesquad events are nowadays because back in 2K16 you used to need to apply and shit to be in the hypesquad

Discord is a cool platform for gamers, I've always been intrigued by the badges various users have but never understood exactly how they were obtained legitimately (probably obvious by the badge's title but I feel like within this scene at least most people with such badges do not actually go out of their way to earn the badge rather buy it, similar to climbing the ladder within these forum boards). Say neigh to gambling (and pay2win).

Can’t beat or stop the inevitable of users investing their money into holding these badges. I can honestly agree with this because by the day the badges are just increasing in value and is somewhat getting harder to obtain. At least some might say the real value is the journey or how you got that badge instead of simply purchasing it off someone’s hands.
