On Sunday 30 August, officers searching a Polk County pasture for a missing person shot and killed a donkey named HeeHaw. The farm, Elsberry Riding and Farm, said on Facebook that police entered without permission, that the donkey ran up braying, and that they tried to tase him before firing. Cedartown's police chief has put an officer on administrative leave. The Polk County Sheriff's Office confirmed it was not involved and offered condolences. The owner opened a GoFundMe for legal costs.
Nine hours ago a pump.fun token called Justice for HeeHaw appeared on Solana. $HEEHAW went from $0.00007093 to a peak of $0.00344285 about an hour ago, sitting 5.6% below that now. That is 81x. $100 at the open of that window is roughly $8,066.
$5.35m of volume, a $3.44m cap, so the thing has turned over about one and a half times its own valuation in a day. Average trade size $84. 11,042 wallets bought and 8,799 sold across 66,030 transactions, 4,702 holders. Money going both directions, which is the shape you want to see rather than the one-way flow that means nobody can exit.
The token has an X account and a site at justiceforheehaw.com. We have not seen anything from HeeHaw's owners or the GoFundMe organiser about it, so treat any suggestion that the family is involved or benefits as unconfirmed. A coin launched hours after a local news story, riding an active investigation, is exactly what it looks like.
