I suggest reworking the bits system to primarily be based off of likes and reputation.

For example:
Post: 1 bits
Thread: 2 bits
Like: 10 bits
+rep: 25 bits

This would ensure that users are trying to create more high-quality posts and engaging positively with each other rather than completing challenges by spamming.

It would have the exact opposite effect. Rep & likes would be farmed like crazy lol

Lowering rewards for posting is reasonable as that's what's being spammed.
They could also disable earning for category's that have a high risk of spam.

But rep can only be given once per user and you have to be upgraded to rep, don't see how that would be farmed lol, likes would be farmed

Yes - but did you not read what I said? You can only rep someone once. That means you can give someone like 25 fucking bits lol, wowie, a whole 25 bits

I guess, but I just don't think it's appropriate to tie rep or likes to monetary gain regardless

I think this screenshot presents my point adequately The current system encourages spam so people can sell their bits for pennies. Leads to low quality posting. I think it might be beneficial to instead switch to something like engagement, rewarding points for ratings, responses, and...

Things are already being worked on, from new daily challenges to gambling bits to buying bits

I'll be lowering the Bits earned from posts as soon as it resets while the new challenges are being made. Bits are gonna be a little harder to get now but all will be good in the end

it's hard to figure out what would be the best. you cant really make rewards so low either as it will take a year to get a sigle item. the only way to solve this imo is to lower the threshold to say 10 posts = 500 bits and 20 posts = another 500 bits. that way, one could earn 1000 a day with less spam but it would be a lot easier to earn bits which would open (maybe) buyers' eyes to lower the prices; this way, not many people are willing to grind 50 posts so sellers can demand higher prices for their time wasted, nobody even contacts buyers who buy bits for $2/1k bits now as it's not worth wasting your time to sell something you've spent half an hour to an hour on for a choccy milk.
