I think the XP awards for different activity should definitely be changed.

Currently the XP system rewards users who post a crazy amount of low-effort posts the most.

The reward for creating a thread or posting a reply is way to high. Ask yourself; what's more valuable – another useless post or reply, or likes, showing that the post is of high quality, provided useful information, or sparked conversation.
Sorry for naming names, but on the XP leaderboard @duke has 98,000 XP (almost 3x the amount of the second user) all because of the low-effort replies in tons of threads. On most posts there is the exact same reply "this is fye" which provides no value to the thread. (I have nothing against you duke, sorry for bringing you up like this)

I understand that it may be like this in the first months of the forum to try to create as much activity as possible, but I really think a change should be made later down the road.

A draft of probably better XP rewards:
* Create a thread: 100 XP
* Reply: 50 XP
* Receive a like: 150 XP
Everything else would probably be good to stay the same, possibly apart from "Daily Login" which should be higher, as the forum should be rewarding loyalty.

This will ensure that the people who start climbing the XP leaderboards are users of the forum that will be known to provide value and information to this site, instead of people who just post thousands of low-effort posts clogging up replies.

Thanks for consideration!
I would love to hear everyone's thoughts.

This is a notable idea that should be taken in consideration by the staff team. I've been warned in the past for my actions that lead to a bump spam warning and learned from my mistakes. Also, I ensured to delete almost every reply I could containing "this is fye" or "this is heat" to prioritize higher quality value replies being more visible for everybody.
So no worries at all man!

This will ensure that the people who start climbing the XP leaderboards are users of the forum that will be known to provide value and information to this site, instead of people who just post thousands of low-effort posts clogging up replies.

I didn't realize how fairly new the XP system was when I first registered to Kingz. In fairness, how does the idea of granting all the XP to those who could've obtained them if there was such an XP system way before the levelling system now on the site sound? That includes threads and all the possible ways you can obtain XP now. Or is that too unnecessary because the levelling system is supposedly a new update.

Thanks for the input duke! Very much appreciated. And sorry again for bringing you up to use as an example.

I think this would be a great idea to be honest, although that's up to the admins to decide the best way to rebalance XP (if that were to happen)

Yeah it launched with the V2 update. We only made previous activity before V2 count for badges. XP everyone started off fresh
