So many posts are being deleted and resent on kingz, for example, I sent this days ago and countless times it has been bumped out of no where and the post says 12 mins ago when it has been days.

I have seen the same happen on tons of posts where posts that were sent days ago say like a few mins ago and the first time I thought it was cuz of a perc incident but now I'm sure I'm not trippin.

Looks like an autobump if that's the last post on the thread. I think members are still confused on how it works, this gets brought up almost daily

The way the autobumping works on Kingz is it updates the timestamp of the last post in the thread at the time of each bump, essentially treating it as a "new post" being made - solves the issue with threads being filled with "bump bump" in 100+ pages of a thread

I think it can be very misleading to change the time on the last post, If I offer something on a post a week ago and someone auto bumps, it may look like I just offered on what they are selling now when I may no longer be interested in it.

If there are no other posts after your bid for a week straight then it can be. I can try thinking of a better way to handle bumps but that's generally how it works here for now

what about just putting "post originally sent xxx" or something that marks it as an autobump, not sure how hard that would be

Originally thought putting the timestamp in the original post "This thread was bumped X time ago" with a 30 day notice (bump text hides itself after 30 days). Wouldn't affect any users posts in this scenario other than the first post
