Instead of an email, let people chose to get a dm or ping on discord for notifications. Not everyone checks email or site constantly but most get notifications from discord

I can't imagine its too hard, just put a bot on a vps and expose an API the site can post to in the same way emails work

That’s not at all how this would work. This would be difficult to set up, but hopefully with them adding oauth it gives them the ability to
