If I connect my accounts, e.g. twitter or crunchyroll to someone elses discord account, can they do anything with that to get access to the account or am I completely safe?

as long as you are loggin into there account and linking it, it should be 100% safe

If you are suspicious of the user you are connecting @'s for, download an archive of their discord account if they let you log into it and it's their personal.
