Having other people give an opinion on your relationship isn't really the best way to go about it.

Seek couples therapy.

I am unsure as to why you come to this forum with this topic though. Lol
Your best bet would be to break up with him.
The earlier - the better.
Keeping this to yourself for a prolonged period of time, while not being satisfied with your relationship - will lead to nothing, but more attachment & pain for the both of you, once it does come to an end.
Communication goes both ways - from what I am understanding, you are not doing a good job at voicing your thoughts either. (Posting about it on a forum, but refusing to FACE the situation/person and talk it out..)
You do not have to ruin somebody's "self-image", to let them know, that they are not doing a great job at supporting you mentally, as a Partner.
thank you for your reply. your last sentence made me consider that i might be thinking of the worst outcome. he could view it as a learning lesson while maintaining his self image. thank you for your third and fourth sentence too. i was able to self reflect and envision my future if, i kept this to myself for a long time. thank you for taking time out of your day to reply to me, it means a lot.

It is also of great importance to "break the news" in a nice manner.
Do not bombard the guy with rude/pointy statements, simply due to his lack of empathy or inability to tackle mental health issues / serious topics.
Give him honest feedback, whilst also expressing your point of view/emotions, and why the current state of the relationship is not good for you.
(or why you have chosen to move forward from it)

TL;DR: Be cautious with the words you use.
Good luck.

i told him how i felt. he received the information well and with an open mind. we came to the conclusion that, it's good to talk about what bothers us, or else one of us could be unsatisfied throughout our relationship. i was reminded to keep in mind that im his first partner and that he hasn't had experience to learn from. i hope we can learn from each other in order to improve our relationship. we haven't been together for very long.
