How to avoid getting scammed while buying a Telegram basic username (with no NFT):
1) Always use a middleman when dealing with people you don't know or trust.
2) While the middleman is holding your funds, get the channel/supergroup with the username transferred to you. Go to fragment.com, input the username in the search bar and hit enter. Here are the possible outcomes based on the username status:
• Taken: the username is NOT an NFT — you're good to go!
• Unavailable: the name is banned or shadowbanned — you probably do not want to continue with the deal.
• Sold: the username is an NFT — it can be pulled back! Do NOT continue with the deal unless the NFT gets transferred to you.
• Available or On auction: the username is on auction. Do NOT continue with the deal unless the auction gets cancelled.
Please remember that Fragment is not available for phone numbers or IP addresses from the United States.
