A coin called $INUZARD has done $2.1m in volume in under 8 hours on Solana, and the origin is about as thin as these things get: a tweet from @jimothy_phd joking that he'd made "an original piece of art" by drawing attention to a plain pencil, replying to a post from @himgajria musing about what makes something organic versus a replica. No brand, no company, no real world entity involved, just a shitpost that somebody turned into a ticker.
The price action is the actual story. It launched at $0.00001483 and peaked at $0.00115311 about an hour ago, before pulling back to sit roughly 10% off that high. Market cap topped out near $1.4m and is currently at $1.25m. Anyone who bought at the open and held through the peak was sitting on something like a 77x.
Trading looks broad rather than scripted: 6,166 wallets bought and 5,199 sold across nearly 31,000 transactions, with an average trade size near $70, which is real money moving rather than dust-trade padding. Buys and sells are close enough in count that people are clearly getting out as well as in. Liquidity sits at $133k against that market cap, which is the normal shape for a pump.fun style coin still finding its floor.
Worth flagging that the deployer wallet has launched 50 other tokens, so this isn't a first-time creator's one-off. Contract is 4pnj9L8C1uJDhECSTHkToKHPmjLRfdSunENs2xtKpump for anyone checking it against copies.
Anyone else seeing volume like this on coins with literally no premise behind them lately?
