Oh for sure. I'm pretty sure this site gained like 2k members in 2 days after the shutdown.

I have a screenshot of kingz.net having 13 people online which was probably taken a week before the shutdown, now it's sometimes over 500

Not really? I mean, it’s the biggest one that has a section for most stuff except the very old ones like HF.

For gaming stuff, epicnpc is much bigger, and swapd is much bigger for social media related stuff.

Still a very cool site.

For the OG username, and stat account market - I think it might be. The other site had bigger numbers but that's just from years of the same users registering multis, and randoms who used the site for one deal then bounced. Kingz is still in it's infancy stages, but so far it looks like a lot of users are migrating, and setting up shop here.

Then again, it’s normal to expect people to bounce back to the other site once it’s back (if at this point it ever does).

Fact is, people care about the shit they do on a forum more than they’d like to admit, and unless you’re already well-known in the community like chief or zyger etc, they’re going to jump back to the platform they already have amassed posts, rep and vouches.
It’s not worth trying to get back to the level of „trust“ they’ve already made on another forum for them.

It's not uncommon for users in communities like this to use multiple platforms, and with the Kingz management team actively promoting the site via different avenues and introducing new people to the community - I'm not too worried about it.

I’m fully aware of that, doing so myself. I still do think that quite a few people will end up migrating back, especially people that have wasted horrendous amounts of money to the other site for fancy pixels.
