the idea of it is great honestly but the company that made it is shady asf + in general the way tiktok handles data just makes it dangerous. lets not forget about how it personalizes recommendations so you can see relevant content which is in itself is not dangerous but it makes it way easier for us to get addicted to it

Putting aside the owners and the country of origin of where the app was made. Tiktok, like any other social media is bad when you overuse it and it starts affecting your daily life. Use it in moderation and you should be fine.

but the fact that they inject java script into the in app browser to log your passwords is a red flag to me. not just the country of orgin
