Not a token story, but this one's making the rounds today so worth flagging since it's all over crypto Twitter.
Justin Sun posted a lengthy account on X claiming he paid Chinese actress Jing Tian (known to US audiences from Kong: Skull Island and Pacific Rim Uprising) 30 million yuan (~$4.5M) for her eggs, and that she took the money, went to a five-star resort in Laguna Beach for the extraction, then left without going through with it. Sun says she then demanded another 20 million yuan (~$3M) to complete the deal, at which point he consulted an AI chatbot (Claude, per his own account) for advice, was told not to pay, and refused. He's now suing her in a Chinese court and, according to people tracking the case on Chinese social media, has moved to freeze her assets so he can recover his money if he wins.
Jing Tian's studio has issued a denial, saying Sun is trying to use her public reputation as leverage and that the matter will be settled in court, not in public.
Worth noting: surrogacy arrangements are illegal in China, so if the underlying transaction is as described by either side, both parties could face legal exposure beyond just the civil dispute over money. Nothing here is confirmed beyond the dueling public statements — no court filings have been made public yet.
Anyone else seeing how this plays into Sun's broader pattern of very public disputes lately (WLFI arbitration, etc.)? Does this kind of headline move TRX sentiment at all, or is it purely personal drama at this point?
