Robinhood Chain is only a few weeks old and already the app driving most of the activity on it is a memecoin launcher called Pons, not the chain itself.

Numbers from yesterday: users paid close to $6 million in fees just creating and trading tokens through Pons in a single day. That's more than $Pump took in, more than $Hyperliquid took in, and more than fees paid to use Robinhood Chain's base layer directly. For a launcher built on a brand new chain to outpace both an established memecoin factory and a major perp DEX in one day is a big jump in relative standing, even if it's only one day of data.

The obvious read is that Robinhood's brand and existing brokerage user base gave Pons a distribution advantage that pure crypto-native launchers don't have, pulling in a wave of first time token creators and traders who came through Robinhood rather than a DEX front end. Whether that pace holds once the novelty wears off is the open question, daily fee leaderboards on new chains tend to be front-loaded with launch activity that fades.

Worth noting this is a snapshot, not a trend line. One day at the top doesn't mean Pons stays there, and fee generation says nothing about whether the tokens being created have any lasting value.

Anyone tracking how Pons volume compares day over day since the chain launched, or is this the first real spike?

Hyperliquid Strategies expands its equity facility to $2.5B

Update on the earlier thread about $HYPE treasury activity. Hyperliquid Strategies, the Nasdaq-listed vehicle stacking $HYPE with equity sales, has bumped its committed facility with Chardan Capital Markets from $1 billion to $2.5 billion.

The headline number is bigger than the actual runway. Filings show $646.6 million raised through the facility as of June 30, plus another $117.1 million sold after quarter-end, putting disclosed proceeds at roughly $763.7 million. That leaves about $236.3 million before the company hits the original $1 billion aggregate sales mark, the point where a Nasdaq-linked dilution cap kicks in.

Past that $1 billion line, things get more restrictive. Under the current amendment, the company can't complete a sale that would push shares issued below $12.02 above roughly 42.6 million shares, which is 19.99% of its pre-amendment share count. Selling above that price avoids the cap, but anything priced lower needs either headroom under the cap or stockholder approval. The filings don't break out per-transaction pricing, so the exact remaining capacity for below-$12.02 sales isn't calculable from what's public.

As of an August 27 update, Hyperliquid Strategies had put $773.4 million into buying about 16.5 million $HYPE, holding roughly 29.3 million $HYPE total, at an average issue price of $8.70 for the raised capital (a figure that predates the extra $117.1 million).

So the $2.5 billion is optional capacity, not a guaranteed buying program, and how much of it is actually usable depends on where $HYPE's share price sits and whether shareholders sign off on further discounted issuance.

Anyone tracking how much of that facility actually gets tapped versus sitting unused on paper?
